Description of Tour:

The Rainforest and Cave Hiking tour is a seven hour adventure trek that takes you over old logging trails in parts of Belize’s pristine Tropical Rainforest. During this breathtaking hike, you will have the opportunity of a lifetime to explore five unique caves. You will explore wet and dry caves that are cathedral like, adorned with great stalactites, stalagmites and beautiful crystalline formations. 

Ancient Mayan steps, broken potteries and carved figurine in rocks are evidence of the once presence of the Maya in this area. Along the trail, enjoy the flora and fauna, and keep an eye out for the tracks of jaguars, wild boars, peccary, agouti, ocelots and other wildlife. Belize’s national animal, the Tapir or Mountain Cow, inhabits the boarder of this forest and their movements are evident on its surface. 

At the entrance of cave five, the turnaround point, enjoy a refreshing swim in the natural spring waters from the Five Blues Lake, a delicious picnic lunch and listen to the many birds sing you a lullaby before returning to civilization. While on this tour, you will hike through areas of Belize that are still unspoiled. Your adventure awaits you!
